One thing you should know is that most of the time, the lawyer is not even involved with day-day paper work except for signatures or dealing with some kind of complex scenario or answer questions (in case you are lucky to get such a patient person ! ) posed by you/your company that cannot be answered by his staff. Other than that most of the time the paperwork/review/mailing etc are all handled by his paralegal/senior paralegal team. And most of the times more than the lawyer, it is these paralegal stuff that annoy the hell out of you. Most of the time they are smart alecks and treat you as if you don't know a thing about immigration or green card process!
Most of the time I was able to get my way around these paralegals and deal directly with the lawyer. And despite this, they still screwed me by delaying filing of my 485 even when the dates were current and then I eventually got caught in the deluge of July 2007 fiasco.
So like chandu said it doesn't matter who the lawyer is or what the firm is, they are all the same!
