One hopes Obama and Co. read the WSJ.
This is really a no brainer. You need people to step up and take risks here. Immigrants are willing and able to do so, they will immediately and longer term contribute to America, and in so doing lift the economy for all concerned. They will help themselves wile helping america.
Only problem I see with this is hurt false American pride, that instead of accepting "poor huddled masses" touched by the American miracle, it ends up being the wealthy educated elites that bailed out the USA. Any pragmatist however will see it as a win win.
