I-140 Receipt Question ! - Texas Service Center [Archive]

Hello guys,
How long does it usually take to get the receipt for an I-140 from Texas Service Center? The case was submitted on July 5th and reached them on July 6th.

Also, are there other ways to find what the case # is before you get the receipt ?

With all this 485 mess going on, i hope you get it soon.
Recently its been 3-4 weeks.

I just got the receipt today.
Receiving date: July 6
Receipt Date: July 7

They don't seem to be very busy with the July filings or they are very efficient these days.

I applied I-140 on June 29th under PP. They issued a RFE on 5th July and layer replied it on the 6th. I dont know have any news after that. Do they honor PP 14 days concept after issuing RFE? Is there anyway to ask them about my case ?

I fileld only I-140 on july 5th. No question of any receipt#. Have you got any one receipt from NSC recently?

Yes they honor it. However, the 15 day clock is reset back to day 1 when they receive your response to the RFE. It doesn't 'continue' from where it was.

I applied on June 26th , got the receipt on 27th. Got the approval on 5th July.
Ofcourse in PERM. This was my second I140 to port a better date.:)

Can we apply I-140 from two/three companies?

When one does't wish to proceed with the I-140 just filed, Can the candidate with draw on his own or needs to go through the company through which it has filed? If the company doesn't agree to with draw what would be the situation.

Would there be any problem with USCIS if some one applies for three I-140's.

the honoring of 14 day for PP is all a load of you know what.

My 140 has been in PP since April 18 - they say they cannot find my labor from PBEC - Lawyer no giving any clear answer

so the fact of the matter is - if they can process they will - else no honor and dont expect it

My husband has submitted his I-140 at vermont service center on may 23rd. Not received reciept number yet. Is anyone in same situation ?
