Is there any one with experience of porting from EB2 to EB1? My company is offering me a International project manager position, I am trying to see if I accept the same, will I be able to port to EB1?

You will not qualify for EB1 _Managerial unless you have worked as a manager in the same company's overseas location and came to US through the company (preferably on L1 but works for H1 too).

EB1 Manager can only be done if prior to coming to US you have worked atleast 1 year in the past three years, in a managerial position in it's overseas branch. and then your EB1 petition needs to be filed.

You wil probably not require to port your PD as EB1 is current. However if things change in 1 year and EB1 is retrogressed, you can port the EB2 PD.

Good one krishmunn!
Coldcloud, for a brief period last night, you did not have to worry about porting or pd for eb2.

Is there any way for a R&D manager with 2 masters from US universities to port to EB1. I have 1 patent to my name. Completion of PhD will take some time but this Green card has screwed my career and I cannot wait on this roller coaster ride any more. :(
Thanks.
