I was thinking after the reading the research article at Heritage foundation, that we should seek and ask Sean and Rush to help us.
People listen to them and they know how to make themselves heard.

Look here Arkbird, you think it's very smart of you to link Sean Hannity and like minded people with kkk without even bothering to read the article or researching their views about the immigration issue. I would suggest you first read the article and get yourself educated about what the conservatives, and like minded people think about skilled workers. don't just be fed crap by the liberal media which is subservient to the democratic machine.
there are many more republicans and conservatives that care about and are aware of the problems faced by skilled workers than those who are democrats or liberals. I just don't understand what's riling you or people like you to go ballistic against people with conservative thoughts. Dems only care about the vote bank (the undocumented/illegals)...they couldn't care less for us. If at all they would help us, it'll only be as an afterthought.

They are called "Right Wing" or "Conservative" talk show hosts and everyone knows where right wing stands on immigration. If you think they can help us god bless you...

newt gingrich is one of main proponant of h1b visas, and gc for skilled workers and he's a conservative. likewise you have many more conservatives that favor or atleast are likely to favor immigration reform benefiting us. you have to differentiate the right from the far right, as also the left from the far left. I think it'll be more easier to convince a republican than a democrat by presenting our case. of course there are exceptions like sen grassley. Republicans/conservatives are against immigration reform for the undocumented/illegals, and they should be rightly so (assuming you are from india, wouldn't you be angry if people from bangla./pak. were to stream into your country without restrictions?). But I am sure if we were the only people in this debate, the repubs/conservatives would easily favor us. the dems wants to club us with the undocumented, and that's where the problem lies.
I can confidently say that there has been no democrat that has personally benefitted you nor has there been any republican that has hurt you in any way. so think before you brandish terms like kkk.

Who told you conservatives are againts legal immigrants, no they are not. They are strictly against the illegals. Just go thru some webpages and read about them.
To start with read the articles at The Heritage Foundation - Conservative Policy Research and Analysis (http://www.heritage.org). They are pro immigrants.
Just don't fly cents in the air to shoot. Well god knows are you pro immigrants as seen recently immigrants against immigrants. May be you are one of them.

I don't think it will help in anyway in the near future. Sean Hannity and Rush belong to GOP and sadly GOP has no majority in any of the house. But it is always good to seek help of them (for that matter anyone who supports our cause) incase they are willing to help us in any way.
The best option might be that Obama has quite a few Indian and Asian members like Vivek in his inner circle thru whom we have to build up our cause

I do not have any opinion on this, but if you remember Rush has recently called Indians as "Slumdogs" on the national radio. It has already sent a wrong message about India to the conservatives. All I'm saying is we should be careful when approaching Rush. He is like a double edged sword.
On the other hand, Sean Hannity always quotes and promotes Heritage Foundation on his radio program.
On the other note, whoever thinks Republicans/conservatives are against H1b/immigration are wrong. Please see the Youtube video on Sen. John McCain's views on H1b(immigration).

of democrats and republicans to yourself like Americans, we should examine what do we have to offer to either parties and why will they support us vs oppose us.
It's not smart to question who is more moral and cuddly among the two.
The republicans,
The BAD: clearly carry a national agenda and are defacto owners of patriotism bordering on chauvinism, hence control more xenophobic populace.
The GOOD: On the positive end, they are totally pro-business. When the industry talks, they listen. They don't create hurdles for free market system including the manpower demand for corporates.
The democrats.
The GOOD: They take the more higher moral ground on xenophobia, among other things. The dems seem very accepting and tolerant, which appeals to every foreigner, & minority alike.
The BAD: They support unions, socialism right down to protectionism. I feel they go to vast lengths to appease fringe groups to garner votes.
We can leverage republicans only through corporations, as they understand each others language. We can leverage democrats through the diverse cabinet members of Obama admin who has his ears.
Having said that I feel we should focus our energy on dems as they control everything. If someone wants to befriend repubs too, no harm will be done there as well.

can you quote any instance of hypocrisy from Sean or Rush? standing up for one's beliefs and principles is very good, if you like to call it self-righteous. speaking the truth hurts, some on the far left might call it hatred. can you ever quote sean or rush deriding or criticizing someone for making millions honestly?...never. they came from humble backgrounds and made their millions through hard work, and honesty. of course they speak against those making millions through crooked means. and of course they are against punishing successful people who make money through their hard work by imposing huge taxes, and handing it to the lazy people (which they say is socialism). wait till you pay your taxes next year, it'll be a shocker.
of course they are against abortion (killing of innocent unborn babies), against embryonic stem cell research (which destroys human embryo) but mind you not against other forms of stem cell research, have genuine arguments against Al Gore's impending climate apocalypse claims, and they are at the receiving end of all ridicule including from prez obama (who is supposed to appear presidential) yet they have taken it in their stride, and invited those people on their show.
I would say whatever you have said is so true of the other side.

They got unions, numbersusa and protectionists on their side. Only people who can help us are folks like Billy G and industry leaders & they got a hotline with moderate republicans. I am not saying that all dems are like that but certainly we need to back pro business politicians. At this time we need to protest to make administration hear our voices. We need visibility from media, we need to protest all these anti-skills ,protectionist bigots. Otherwise an illegal alien or a pirate from Somalia will get a GC before u and me.

IV is not a political organization and is independent of any political affiliation. So it is wrong if there is any wrong impression in the political/media world that IV is pro DEM or pro REPUBLIC organization. If this is the case then we need to change this image because we need support from both Republicans and democrats to promote our agenda.
I agree to your point that Republicans are pro-business and pro-skilled immigration and we can not ignore or not seek their support even though they are a minority. When it comes to CIR every single vote counts.

Like I said, it is already turning into a political debate here :D.
"What this says to me is that too many whites are getting away with drug use. Too many whites are getting away with drug sales. Too many whites are getting away with trafficking in this stuff. The answer to this disparity is not to start letting people out of jail because we're not putting others in jail who are breaking the law. The answer is to go out and find the ones who are getting away with it, convict them and send them up the river, too." - Quote from Rush and then he went on to take oxycontin.
Limbaugh falsely denied human causes of ozone depletion, global warming | Media Matters for America (http://mediamatters.org/research/200508160007) - here he becomes a scientist telling us all the other(or most) environmental scientists are wrong. Deception?
Debunking Rush Limbaugh on the Environment (http://www.bestofmaui.com/rush.html) - here is a paper on Rush's global warming lies.
"All of these rich guys -- like the Kennedy family and Perot -- pretending to live just like we do and pretending to understand our trials and tribulations and pretending to represent us." Limbaugh's current contract pays him $45-million per year, and he has spoken of friends who make $180,000 per year and "don't consider themselves rich". He has said of the official poverty line, "$14,400 for a family of four? That's not so bad."
These are just a few- can you see the hatred in his commentary?
Just in case you don't see it - "I mean, Cindy Sheehan is just Bill Burkett. Her story is nothing more than forged documents. There's nothing about it that's real, including the mainstream media's glomming onto it. It's not real. It's nothing more than an attempt. It's the latest effort made by the coordinated left. "

If that's what you can come up with to justify your calling them kkk, it's pathetic. in that case you must assign kkkkkk to the liberal left for calling Sarah Pain all sort of b word, s word, etc.
- oxycontin is a prescription drug, and not illegal. of course he developed an addiction after being prescribed for some time. I am not defending him, and he also had paid the price. but he was talking about illegal drugs, and you've got to show everything in context.
- there are equal number of scientists who debunk the global warming theory. there are 2 sides to the story which the media doesn't show but atleast you ought to know.
- I don't what you are saying about the poverty line...again it should be shown in context. btw rush was not born with a silver spoon.
- comment from Sean --- you call that hatred speech ?...are you out of your mind?
nothing you say or you find out to say would ever justify you carelessly using the term kkk or any such derogatory terms. I rest my case here.

You can give reasons. So do others who took drugs. For example, some with pain and didn't have money to go to a doctor can be a valid reason? Taking drugs without prescription is also illegal. And he escaped. Was he jailed? If a drug is taken for getting a kick, what is the difference between legal drugs and illegal drugs  But the important point is - he did not want other people escape and he is escaping with some reason or the other.
"there are equal number of scientists who debunk the global warming theory. there are 2 sides to the story which the media doesn't show but atleast you ought to know." Total BS. There may be 2 scientist out of thousand. But the point is he didn't know what the heck he is talking, but pretending to know all about global warming.
Rush was not born rich? R u sure?
So what is hatred speech? You come up with a definition and I will get you a quote. How about that?

Rush Limbaugh and principles? ROTFL. The other day, on his radio show, he implied that somehow Michael Jackson's death had something to do with the fact that Obama is president. I'm not even joking. Here's what he said : "MJ flourished under Reagan and died under Obama. I'm just saying." Limbaugh is a joke, the quintessential under-educated, yet smugly self-satisfied American hillbilly. Rush is a comedian and that is what he does. His base is different. His joke about MJ/Obama is not very different from various similar jokes on Bush. Any (stand up) comedy would have tonnes of such thing which are twisting truths/ half truth/tangential, all that matters is that most of the listeners should enjoy.
Most media just hates him becasue his base is conservative and media loves the left. Both left and right throw dirt on each other, nothing new. I have never listened to Rush myself, but after reading varoius quotes cited by people on this forum (both this thread and previous posts), though I find some dispicable, they are usually as dispicable as you can sometimes hear on the talk shows by the left. From a moral ground(hate speech), if I hate one group, I would have to hate the other as well for the same reason. But if the moral ground is allowing for different opinions and tangential jokes on that, then both are fine.
No point discussing this further, but to anyone who reads this forum, would consider it left, not because we are explicitly aligned, but because a lot of people do not like conservatives (and feel that way from the core of their heart).
Cheers,
Gaurav
