I-140 Processing Time at TSC

Friends, I know I-140 processing time at TSC is 6 months according to their web site. My question is that these 6 months are counted from the date on which our application reaches their mail room (say July 15) or the date on which the USCIS issues a notice to us (say Sept 1)? Any experiences?

I talked to USCIS customer service yesterday. ( I filed from TSC concurrently on second week of August ) .


As per USCIS they are planning to complete the processing of all applications filed in this time frame by Feb 3, 2008

...Technically, from they day they recieved it in the mail room.

But remember this, for non-premium processing there is no strict SLA. There will be many cases that take longer than that.

My I140 petition is pending at USCIS TSC since Oct 03 2006 due to security check. I had asked my lawyer to open a service request for checking the case status. According to the representative, the Texas Service Center is currently processing EB3 I-140s with receipt date from April 2007.
