I created USCIS Service Request for inquire about I-485 status. I got the below replay. What it means assigned to an officer ? Will I get approved I-485 soon OR It's general message saying I will get approval based on priority dates ? Give me your thoughts please guys

Just says you are in the queue if your PD is current it MAY be assigned to an officer. would appreciate you filling out profile in return.

Call USCIS and make a "service request"... there are no complicated steps and it's not rocket science!

I485 case is current (PD of Mar 2006) but keeps being transferred between Vermont and Nebraska.
Originally filed at Vermont,
4 months ago: file transferred to Nebraska.
1 week ago: Congressman got involved and clarified that it is being sent back to Vermont.
Today: Got status update that it is being sent back to Nebraska.

Been transferred 3 times in last 4 months. What is going on? How does service center get assigned? Why does application get lost? Did not relocate (except across suburbs of same city) or change employer in last 6 years - since GC application started. What is going on?
What action can I take?

35 days ago I took infopass to enquire regarding the 485 approval noticce for my wife as I recieved mine but she did not. I was told by the IO that it was mailed so we thought that hers might come in few days, well hers came after 3 days. We asked IO to give I-551 stamp to which he gave only for 1 month saying u wil get cards in this time. Now the month is expiring so we went today to Infopass and now we took the option that we are PR and did not get cards. This time the IO looked senior but was in a bad mood as he did not hear to what I said and asked me again "what". I explained and then he asked for 485 approval notices. He looked at it and I showed him the I551 stamp. He said it is not from our office and then he realised that it was another IO. At that point he said "the validity should have been more then 1 month". He asked me was a SR opened last time, I said "NO" so he grumbled some thing and I heard him say that I will open a SR (i thought he was blaming the other junior IO who stamped my I-551 initially) and verified my mailing address and mentioned that my cards will be in mail.

He gave I-551 stamp again for 6 months.
