Hi I would like to know if it is possible to obtain Interim EAD if my EAD renewal is not approved in time. If so then where should I apply for interim EAD?
My situation is as below:
I-485 applied in Summer of 2007
1] EAD expires on 10/11/2010
2] EAD renewal applied on 07/21/2010 by E-File
3] On 08/27/2010 SR lodged as I have not received Biometrics notice after 30 days of EAD renewal application.
4] It is about 15 days after SR and I Have not received Biometrics notice so far.
5] After I lodged the SR I did not receive any email notification regarding the SR. In the past when I lodged an SR (about something else) I received an email notification in about 3/4 days.

If you had your finger prints done after filing I-485, then you are not required to do an other one for EAD renewal. You will get your EAD within 90 days of filing. If not visit your local field office.

Its not always true, for lots of people they have renewed EAD without biometrics but for some people like me got a RFE for photos and a signed copy of application even though i have done a e-file and given Biometrics after 485 filing and also at the time of previous EAD Renewal. Its upto USCIS Mercy.
Good luck man

visiting field office is useless.
Get a letter from employer before hand.
after 90 days from received date, call CIS and create a 'Request for Interim EAD'. Tell the rep that Finger prints are not needed for 765 renewal.
After u get the conf #,
1. Fax all the documents to the service center.
2. send an email to Ombudsman
3. contact local senator's office.
u will get CPO email in a few days
Only this works for sure.

Can you please let me know the Ombudsman email address and send the template that you used? Thanks.

Check on the EAD renewals updates/delays thread - it has tons of info, and also a blog where someone has posted all that needs to be done...
Check it in IV blogs
