CIR is finally dying...it was long overdue. with Gutierrez gone...this CIR witch will die fatser. Fresh hope for piecemeal.....

Its too early to say if Gutierrez would run for Mayor of Chicago. It would be more beneficial for him to pass some kind of immigration reform for country rather than leave everything and run for Mayor..besides Rahm Emanuel is also a favorable candidate for this seat.

What happens to the legislation if the main architect of it isn't in the Congress anymore?Under the right circumstances, can the legislation be taken up or does it die without the sponsor?

CIR is not going anywhere in the near term anyway, with or without him.

As piecemeal backers (DREAM act backers though) gain more...CIR will have a good riddance.
