Can one not use EAD for primary job any more?

I dont think this article means that you cannot use EAD for primary job. It means that if there is a possiblity of extension of non immigrant status, we should do it , but if you have already used EAD and changed your status there is no way to extend the non-immigrant status as we are not in non-immigrant status anymore, so it is either the GC approval or denial that could decide deportation.
