Is there a conspiracy, first there was delays in the processing of the EADs, now there is delay in the production of the EAD cards...
Are there more RFEs happening too?

My EAD renewal took almost 90 days to get approved, and my employer was ready to let me go if I did not get the approval before my EAD expired. Just made it with 2 days to spare.

This is absurd, IV only helps when you pay, is it a law firm or what?
Like if you are are a donor then you can see certain posts other wise you can not see them, it is like luring peopled and earn money?

Don't take my criticism in a wrong manner, donations should be volunteer can not be forced. Blocking posts for certain people is logical, but if a particular the post is not met for non donors then please do not show the link for them at all, showing the link and when you click them to see the responses then you are not allowed as you are not a donor, is not a proper way, which gives a wrong impression to IV.

I hope IV will take this in a positive way..

Couple of days back I posted that immigration voice could get a lot more donations if they publish there earnings/expenses report online and make everything transparent. The fact that IV is helping Donors is because all its activities are only possible because of Donors, and we are still short of funding. If this was for all for free, then no campaign could be acheived.
And believe it or not , we get a lot of spam and rogue users visiting IV.

I am the same as you. I would rather trust IV than an Immigration lawyer, and we don't have any other viable option. Every member here is a high skilled immigrant and there is no public Company or business doing this.

I saw the website, they are probably the only ones giving details , and if I recall they haven't achieved anything until now (maybe co-related?)
IV has details for all previous years and in the video they have given justification. Most other Advocacy groups are run by lawyers not immigrants. None of them give a day-today expense report. I have also learnt the hard way what the priorities of immigration attorneys are.
many of them have spoken in favor of Illegal amnesty as it would increase their business while almost ignoring us.

Also I contribute $100 a month and don't get any money from IV. We are all volunteers.

We are all immigrants working on a campaign.

Yes true, and whatever $100 I'm donating is going to benefit Ivar more than me since he's current.

It looks like no one is watching the IV video posted above. The summary is:

1. IV is a non-profit, and these orgs have very strict tax laws.
2. If funds are misused, people can be put in jail and deported.
3. Complete disclosure of strategy, investments will hinder IVs ability to campaign as anti-immigrants and our opponents are looking at our strategy to quash it. This is especially true with lobbying.
4. Previous years annual reports are available.

Facebook or Google are not going to publish their daily funds usage report or they will be out of business in 1 month

The reason I'm asking for donations is - Without thousands of members donating, we cannot successfully lobby for Green card laws for us.
Its not directly going to benefit me, I'm still a long way off.

Every discussion gravitates towards donation because at the end of the day, the reality is that there is a need to mobilize funds, to take our game to the next level.

At the same time, there is a whole bunch of immigrants waiting in the queue for 5,7,10 years, passively, just talking, who could have easily contributed $25 per month to create a momentum for us.

All this complaining about transparency (knowing or not knowing that not-for-profit organizations need to follow very strict accounting and disclosure rules), is just not productive. I would rather put my trust in a bunch of fellow immigrants who are trying to help us all collectively.

Even if nothing comes out of it, I would have tried to push my luck through this group, rather than sitting and waiting for things to change on their own.

Disclaimer: I am not a part of the core or any peripheral group of IV. I am just like everyone else, but have decided to try my bit by contributing.

As frustrating as it sounds for non-donors to be pushed to become donors, please trust the IV leadership and trust the grass-roots nature of IV...it's no gimmick that we have such a large group of educated immigrants coalescing towards a common goal.
