If anybody can the varify/answer following questions for EAD & AP Paper Filing, I will appreciate the help .
(1) For Myself: I-485 Filed in July 07, Have EAD & AP . Have not used EAD and AP. Last entry was using H1B Visa.I have H1B extension approved up to 2011
I-765 Form:
Question #14 Manner of Last Entry: H1B
Question#15 Current Immigration Status: H1B ( I am not sure About this, It
can be AOS also)

(2)For My wife:I-485 filed in July 07, she is on H4 visa, Working on EAD now and used AP. (She has H4 extension approved up to 2011)

I have a quick qn on the list of docs:
Based on the instructions,in my understanding, the following should be there:

1) Application
2) Copy of EAD front and back
3) 2 Passport photohraphs
4) Check for 340$

But in some threads, fellow IV members are giving huge list.
Just trying to see if anyone else is of the opinion that the 4 listed above are sufficient.

If Ead and AP are going to different destinations, then obviously u cant pkg it together.

in particular with respect to EAD. I sent both mine/spouse together in same USPS mail. used paperclips to seperate applications and on first page of each application i had attached a blank paper will bold letters stating that its a i-765 EAD renewal application for A#...., name, and category C09

i had to send to texas and both of my applns have been accepted and receipts issued...so i guess sending both appln in same USPS mail is not a problem. But there are many who did it seperately for clarity purposes and also got issues receipts. so its up to u to decide.

Im same like urs, last yr it was nebraska, this year its texas. it shud be OK. as i mentioned earlier, i had to send to texas and it has goten accepted.

Is yours renewal or 1st time EAD filing , I did the following ...
14 - H1 (Work Permit)
15 - AOS

During my 1st EAD I wrote both as H1 but now my H1 extension is pending
and 485 is pending. So i thought writing 485/AOS would make more sense.

Otherwise they will think that what i did with my first EAD. These things dont actually change your status of Invalidate your H1 status , so i think any combination is ok.

Enter details for last EAD. Writing Service center Name is okay and the receipt Date. At least i did that. I'm not sure if OPT EAD is necessary - i was never a student here

She can write AOS pending , you can write H1(if your H1 is valid). Or to avoid confusion both can write "AOS Pending". I wrote "H1" during first EAD and "AOS" during the 2nd one. Basically we enjoy dual status.

My checks are also cashed on june12th. I think USCIS will start issuing 2 yr EAD to those applications pending on June 30th. So if the EAD is not issued before June 30th then there is a good chance that you will get 2 yr EAD. But USCIS works in mysterious ways so we have to wait and watch.

I live in GA, and my I-485 is pending in NSC, even though my case was receipted in California, It was transferred from CSC->NSC

My initial EAD was filed at NSC.
As per the filing instructions, I have to file my renewal at TSC since the jurisdiction of GA is Texas Service Center.

Questions

a> Do I have to file at TSC or NSC where I-485 is pending.
b> Is it true if you paper file, you don't have to get finger printed for EAD

For my initial EAD card application, lawyer used I-94#. I was on H-1B. Now I am using my EAD card for work. On EAD card, there is one A#. I have not travelled out of USA since my I-485 is applied so my I-94# is still same and I have that card.

My question is if we are sending AP and EAD together what address should we send the packet to. I saw in the I-765 and I-131 instruction documents the address mentioned for AP is confusing.

For I-765 there are two addresses mentioned one for USPS deliveries, one for non-usps deliveries. For I-131 form there is only one address mentioned and didn't distinguish between USPS and non-USPS. Am confused if I have to send it in two packages or to two different addresses.

We have all been critical of USCIS processing speeds and I am sure that this is still an issue in many categories. However, when it comes to I-765 (EAD) extensions, I think the NSC is on top of things.

I E-filed for the I-765 renewal for my spouse on July 22nd. Sent in supporting documentation on July 24th (received by USCIS July 29th). Received receipt from USCIS July 27th and wonder of wonders...received an "card production ordered" email today (August 4th)!

Credit is due to the USCIS for this fast turnaround. Goes to show that with adequate manpower and a little bit of dedication, a lot of processing bottlenecks can be resolved.

I am a July 2007 filer and I'm currently on H1-B. At the time of filing I-485 I had also filed EAD and had it approved. I have not renewed it since then. I am planning to now apply for another EAD. I had some queries about the paper application and I was hoping someone who has recent experience can guide me.

1. In the top section which box to check?
(a) Permission to accept employment
(b) Replacement (of lost employment authorization document)
(c) Renewal of my permission to accept employment
Since I do have an expired EAD, which box should I check?

2. For question 11. Have you ever applied for employment auth from USCIS - I have to fill in which service center and date(s). Now I did my masters here and had an OPT. I do not have any information about the application/receipt date, except the OPT card itself which does not have receipt date! Should I not even mention OPT and simply include the EAD that I applied in 2007 fiasco?

3. For question 14. Manner of last entry - I shold enter H1-B right, right? Because I entered on that visa.

4. For question 15. Current Immigration Status - I am maintaining my H1-B. So should I put H1B? Or AOS?
