EAD- Efiling- Do I need to Pay renewal fee? I filed I-140/I-485/EAD/AP on August 14th 2007. I read somewhere that if anyone who filed after July 30th, doesnt need to pay any renewal fee for EAD. Is it correct ??

Anyone who filed I-485 during July fiasco who paid the lower fee will have have to pay renewal fee for EAD and AP.

found this text on uscis.gov page
"If you filed a Form I-485, Application to Register Permanent Residence or Adjust Status, on July 30, 2007, or after, then no fee is required to file a request for employment authorization on Form I-765."

However this is on the new fee schedule :
http://www.uscis.gov/files/nativedocuments/FinalUSCISFeeSchedule052907.pdf
"The new application fee for an I-485 is a package fee that includes associated EAD and advance parole applications. Thus, if you file an I-485 with the fee listed above, while you will still need to submit applications for an EAD and advance parole, you will not need to pay a separate fee so long as your adjustment application is pending. However, if you filed your I-485 before this fee change, to apply for or renew your EAD or advance parole, you must file a new application with the new fee for those applications."
Ofcourse USCIS didn't know about the fiasco coming while preparing this. To my knowledge nowhere in USCIS website they mention specifically about people who filed after July 30, 2007 with old fee to pay a fee for EAD/AP application. So I think even those who paid old fee need not pay any fee, if they filed I-485 after July 30, 2007. Has anybody clarified this with USCIS?

According to USCIS memo for revised fee schedule
http://www.uscis.gov/files/pressrelease/VisaBulletinUpdate17Jul07.pdf
USCIS’s announcement today allows anyone who was eligible to apply under Visa Bulletin No. 107 a full month’s time to do so. Applications already properly filed with USCIS will also be accepted. The current fee schedule will apply to all applications filed under Visa Bulletin No. 107 through August 17, 2007. (The new fee schedule that becomes effective on July 30, 2007, will apply to all other applications filed on or after July 30, 2007).
