Hi Guys,

I have a question about my Drivers Licence in the state of Pennsylvania(PA).

Basically my licence expires in June 2009, my H1B expires in September 2009 and my EAD in Oct 2009.

1) Now when I go for my Driver's licence renewal, how will that work?

2) Can I apply for my H1B renewal 3 months before it expires or is it 6 months?

3) Basically what is the best strategy now?

Can anyone advise please?

I think the best option is to apply for renewal of your H1

1) U can apply for your H1 renewal 4 months in advance( then u will get 6-7 months time to wait for H1 renewal) and your license will be renewed till the expiry of your renewed h1 ( i.e. it will be renewed for 3 years)

2) they will not renew it based on your current EAD since EAD needs to be valid for at least a year for the license to be renewed and you cannot apply for EAD renewal 3 months before June ( when your license expires) to get 2 year EAD.

Hope this helps

It used to be that you could apply 6 months in advance, is there a change that says now you can do it 4 months in advance?

You can apply for H-1 extension 6 months in advance. I did that recently.
