I am desperately waiting for my EAD renewal. Does anyone know if the impending Govt. shutdown will stop EAD/AP processing?

First of all you should have applied in time. Having not done so, since you have already filed for work permit, you will have to just wait for it.

First of all, don't assume stuff about when I applied. I applied on the first day I was eligible to apply.

Secondly, don't waste people's time if you nothing to contribute...that I have to just wait is something any ass can tell me...you're not adding any value here, just aggravating ppl.

Thank you Vizak for a fitting reply for very, very poor comment. I am sure you will be ok with your EAD, don't worry.

In the past few months, USCIS updating system is not working that great. So you won't see any changes in your case, but that does not mean they stopped working.

An AP application, without any LUD was cleared in 2 months, eventhough the processing time frame is 3 months in NSC. So, just wait, it will come.

"USCIS – USCIS has announced that, because it is funded by filing fees, it should remain open during a government shutdown, though employers and foreign nationals should still be prepared for the possibility of some adjudication delays. On the compliance front, there are some indications that Form I-9 audits could be suspended during a shutdown, and E-Verify operations could also be affected. The operations of the four Service Centers should remain largely unaffected. Local USCIS District Offices should also remain open."

"U.S. Department of State: No Visa Applications
While the diplomatic and security aspects of the Department of State (DOS) operations would continue, visa applications would likely not be processed in the event of a shutdown. It is anticipated that the consulates will not be open for visa appointments and processing. Thus, depending upon the duration of such an event, individuals could be stranded abroad with no way of obtaining required travel documents. The same is true for the processing of U.S. passports. "
