Hello -- I see that the tri-state area chapter is not active for quite some time (at least from what i know). I am thinking of putting a list together with all members from tri-state area and get the chapter growing. As other members have suggested, active participation from everyone will make a difference. We must remind lawmakers constantly that the legal lawful temporary workers are severely impacted by the GC backlog. Not only do we contribute to the progress of this country but also to the economy. I believe we can achieve this by visiting local lawmakers office/meeting with staffers/organizing events etc...and of-course by contributing to IV efforts. As immigration reform is one of the priority items on the agenda, i think we need to collectively fight for GC reform to get relief from backlogs by pushing IV agenda.
May be i am over thinking this but i think some thing needs to be done from our side to make an impact and we need to do this aggressively. I ask all members to actively participate, educate others and contribute to thsi effort. If you want to add some thing to this, please do so.
Let me know your opinions.

Thank you for taking the initiative. Could you join the group listed on ImmigrationVoice.org - Immigration Voice State Chapters (http://immigrationvoice.org/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=72&Itemid=52)

and set up some event/call to get started. There are several members in state chapter and need someone to initiate some activity

Its weird how a popular state chapter has become dormant.
