From Oct 29 2008 USCIS will have new database management System which will consolidate all legacy systems.
Good news will be for older PDs. USCIS will try to determine backlog. and hope fully follow FIFO.
Good enws for people like who has 2008 PD is we can have better idea of how long it will take to get gc and we can plan for ohter country if needed.

Question is , which university Grads, undergrads developed the System and with how many bugs.
when will the system stabilize and how many patches are needed and how many version releases is required.

To judge a quiet person is very difficult unless he/she speaks...
With that logic, this system if is not capable then may expose USCIS shortcomings..and if it works...which I hope, then may provide a guesstimate and some logical movement in the dates.!!
Anyway, this is not open to public for firing our good count(*) queries....I sometimes gets really tempted to send queries to USCIS free of cost!!

Good for older PD's if they stick with FIFO order..

Seems like a step in the right direction..but will wait to see how it turns out.

I welcome this, Integrate all your systems and connect to DOL as well,
Advice:
Use IBM MQ series for your real time changes, to request a Visa Number too...;-) Guranteed Message Delivery and more transparency...

Doesn't go into production until 10/29/2008.
Definetly a step in the right direction.
I am hoping this will have an impact in the Dec bulletin, as finally they might have an estimate for DOS..

I am very positive and confident about USCIS. They will put all their efforts to implement this ASAP. This will be up and running in 2011. ;)
