Renewing EADs and APs while H1B extension is pending

Hi

I have a question about renewing my EADs and APs (my EAD/AP expires on 2008 October)

Recently filed my H1B extension on Aug-2008 and it is in pending statusprogress .Can I apply for EAD and AP extension now eventhough my H1B extension is in progress?
