Is the economy having any effect on the activities of IV?
Are there any fresh funding actvities on the horizon?

funding for what ???? let me be blunt at the risk of getting more red (I just need GC not gdots ;)) ..
first we need an action plan ..and there is no news from core IV ...people in forum are discussing how to get maids on a visa ...many (including me) are sort of in semi-shock state because of potential job losses ...
and hence my question ...funding for what ??? to do what ???
Excellent question. I have the same questions too. You can see a lots and lots of requests for funding but you cannot see any action plan at all.

Folks,
Right now the 2 most important campaigns being run by IV are:-
1) FOIA requests:- This is very important as this will help us in finding out the exact number 485's pending broken down by country and category.
The link to this campaign is http://immigrationvoice.org/forum/showthread.php?t=22037.
This campaign is very important as it will help in stopping the erratic movement by USCIS and will help our fellow GC applicants, who have been waiting in line for a long long time. Above all this will help in putting the FIFO in place and will help people to get an idea for how long they have to wait.
2) AC-21 Regulations:- Right now there are only memos and the IO's are interpreting these regulations differently. There is no consistency because of this we are seeing a lot of Denials being issued instead of RFE's or NOID's. As the economy is going in a recession and is expected to worsen further, a lot of folks will be forced to use AC-21. So, if you are not affected or think will never be affected think twice, as it can hit you any time. So, IV is in works to make sure that USCIS, follows what has been said in the memos.
These are big efforts on part of IV. No other organization has ever even tried this.
Please be a part of these campaigns and help in making these efforts as big success.
I would also, like to say one more thing. IV is you and me, so if me and you can help then it will lead success for us and IV.
If you have any questions, definitely let us know.
GO I/WE/GO. TOGTHER WE CAN.

I am sure you know that Congress is in recess and are working to seek their employment for next 2 years so that they can come back and pass bills for employment based green cards. What action plan do you want to see? I don't know much about what they are doing but I do know that their expense for that lobby firm, cost of other operations, maintaining the website etc to keep the effort going is still there. So while we all wait for the action plan for our individual GC and while we seek answer to the question - when I will get my GC, our intention to do our part has vanished in thin air, but the cost for keeping the shop up and running is most likely has not vanished in the thin air. The point is (and I am still learning), legislative change takes time and there will be many lull periods between the period of hectic activity and this is guided by the in-activity on the Hill. But I like your approach, as long as I will not get the road-map to my GC, I will not part with even a dime. That must be the genius in you speaking about the road-map.
