Hi all,
My PD is Jun 03 EB3 Program Analyst

If I start out a new process with the same employer as Program Manager by using the experience acquired on the job as a Programmer Analyst, what are my chances successfully porting my old priority date with the new application while I apply for I-140?

Do they even consider as the older date says for Program Analyst and the new labor is for Program Manager but both with the same employer....

Please toss any ideas....

Thank You

Are you going to joing as a PM for a software org like Microsoft? In that case - your internal immigration team will help you sort out the difference and with respect to orgs like MSFT and Amazon you do perform an Analyst like job - so try to compare your SOC codes and also your responsibilities. If there is similarities there - go ahead.

Can this thread be deleted for asking bogus question.

Programmer Analyst - means employer is a bodyshop consultant.

Program Manager - no one hires managers as consultants.
It only means you are working for bogus employer.

Porting priority date from EB3 to EB2 - illegal action.

I am not sure about the same employer. Once your I-140 is approved that is your priority date. If you file another GC filing you can use your earlier priority date.

Well I am a direct employee not a consultant...

My organization is not very big. It is more into Embedded systems...

I know that I could use the experience acquired at the employer for the GC if the new job responsibilities are atleast 50% different from the previous job responsibilities..

Would that be enough to advertise as a Sr. Software Engineer instead of as a Program Manager as my previous I-140 is approved for Program Analyst....so that I can port my earlier PD easily....

Thanks for any replies.....

P. S. I am with the same employer....

Please refrain from talking crap. What do you know that you commented that he/she is working for a bogus company? There are many Program Managers who are hired temporarily by a company, I know this and have worked with those at many places. If you are here just to kill your time and write some crap then this is not the place.
