Passoport Renewal CGU Houston

Hi All
I have submitted my Indian passport for renewal at Houston Indian consulate via mail , it’s been close to a month I haven’t heard anything from consulate. I tried calling them up, no one attends the call.
Do you have any idea how can I speed up this process? Does personal visit to Houston consulate will help in speeding this up? Does passport submitted via mail can be handed over to me in person ?

one month time is looks like normal, for my case it took complete October, they sent me new passport in 28 day's after 2 follow-up e-mails.
There is no reply to my emails and phone calls. Unless there is no urgency why to travel, just try calling and sending e-mails.

For me it took 1.5 months. I visited the consulate to check the status. Typically you can check the status of your passport renewal from CGI mail room. They can tell you whether your passport is processed, mailed etc.

Unfortunately CGI Houston has very poor customer service. They won't answer your calls or reply to your emails.
