EAD card production dealys

Hi,
Did anybody enounter EAD card delays lately? specifically if it was approved but card production was never ordered and/or you didn't receive it?
My application is approved in the middle of April but till now I haven't received the card. USCIS shows that the current status as " post decision activity" and the message reads as follows

On April 15, 2011, we mailed you a notice that we have approved this I765 APPLICATION FOR EMPLOYMENT AUTHORIZATION. Please follow any instructions on the notice. If you move before you receive the notice, call customer service at 1-800-375-5283.

I am wondering what else is left between approving and card/document production? Is any body in the similr situation?
I am going to call USCIS but was wondering if it is a general trend.

Is there any one else who is in the same boat? While we are on this topic I am wondering what happens if there is a gap between EADs for those folks who are exclusively on EAD but no H1? They just I cannot work but other than that there is no negative impact as they are on AOS? I am on H1 and never used EAD but there is almost an year gap between two of my EADs and I can see that this EAD will also be delayed..

Call them up. Looks like a Bad restart on a batch job by a Techy. Mine approved on April 29th. Received on 1st MAY.

87th day soft LUD. 90th day mailed.

Paper filed. Documents reached Texas lockbox on 4/26/2011. Received EAD for self and spouse on 6/24/2011. But online status still shows "Initial Review".

Did anyone contacted them before 90 days, I just started to work using my EAD and mine is set to expire on August 7th. I applied for renewal on May 23rd. Do they encourage anyone to contact them before the 90 days? Anyone had any luck?

Applied for EAD on May 22, so far no FP notice, not sure if that is still the process.DL expiring on AUG 1. company lawyer asked the employer to terminate employment and re-hire when the EAD is current. medical benefits/vacation/tenure will be l gone for a toss, not sure what to do...any suggestions are welcome.. this is my 7th EAD. thank you.

Hi, Can you confirm that it is "75 Days" and not "90 Days"? I always thought it was 90 Days, and also my lawyer and other forum members are scaring me that I shouldn't contact them....

Unfortunately the wait time for EAD / AP beginning 2011 is 3 to 4 months and I am waiting too for my AP. That is called United States Case Inefficient Services and that is the truth and they took a oath to continue to further delay this process to their best. Going forward this timeline will change, I mean increase to 6 months to a year. Not just AP, but promise to extend to EAD and especially for category 3.

Joking aside, AP approved after two years wait time in another thread.

I am talking about TSC. You can request expedite process even before 75 days. Keep trying and you will get good CS Rep. Be honest and explain the gravity of situation. Certainly they will consider. It worked for me. Good luck.

I am also in the same situation. applied EAD/ AP on May 25. Received receipt notice on 6/6 with receipt date 6/3. Till date no status either on online or phone system. Called USCIS 3 times. Surprisingly they apologized every time for not updating the online or phone system because of some glitch and was advised not to panic as they can see in their internal system that someone is working on my cases. EAD expiring on 9/20.

Same thing happened with one of my friend but he called yesterday and they confirmed his case is approved and they have ordered card production.

Hopefully, I will also get the same response on 90th day of my case.

Curious. You'll don't use H1B anymore? Why do you rely on EAD? Scary situation later on if I-485 gets denied!

EAD applied on March 13, 2011, TSC, after 90 days received an RFE# to submit Passport size photos. Photos send on July 5th, still waiting. Evidence received status?

This is too much, to send a RFE after 90 days, just shows how evil people could be. Everyone understand that US doesn't need immigrant (Specifically EB3 folks) but to do this, is just not right. Sometime I really wonder if this is worth it?

Anyhow, you didn't mention congressman, heard that helps sometime. Try it out. IV might help you too, but I read somewhere they only help long term paying members, try it out though.

so USCIS finally concluded that they sent the EAD card but it is lost in the mail. So I have to reapply via I-765 and indicate it as replacement application. They still cannot explain why the the status appear to be stuck on "post decision activity" and not on "card/document production" if they actually sent one . Even though it looked like it is a mistake on their part we have to pay the cost. Luckily I am on H1-b otherwise I wouldn't be able to work legally.. I am going to take an infopass appointment to see if it does any miracle for me and avoid me going to the end of the queue and start all over..

Hi,
In my opinion you should make an infopass appointment and also call your senator and ask him/her to look in to your situation. Some times senators have better luck than us.

I was in a similar situation almost 10 years ago and my employment was terminated and I was rehired after I got EAD. I don't think you can be on the books as employed when you don't have permission to work whether you are paid or not..but I could be wrong.
I wonder if anybody wondered about premium processing for EAD?
