I need to withdraw my husband's I-485 because I just made a mess of things. Can someone tell me how I go about doing this? Do I just write a letter? Is there a form?

I applied for adjustment of status for both of us under the Cuban Adjustment Act back in March. I'm Cuban and he would qualify as my spouse had he been admitted and inspected, which he was not. I misunderstood the whole part of being admited and inspected and took it for just having to apply for our I-94's. I was wrong.

So I want to continue with my process, so that I can help him adjust, but MUST withdraw his ASAP. We are still in the begining of it all, but have already done the fingerprints and they have requested additional evidence, which we cannot provide, such as our I-94's or other evidence of being admitted. Immigration lost my I-94, so I'm looking to get my entry records from the CBP.

I appreciate any help. Thank you. Ana

Your spouse can call USCIS and tell them he would like to withdraw his application. He just needs to provide the receipt number and other basic details like address, date of birth etc.
