My friend Stuart Anderson makes that case in his latest blog for Forbes. He notes that those calling most loudly for E-Verify to become required of employers don't seem to appreciate that the system really means that all Americans and their employers will have to basically ask permission from the federal government before hiring someone - whether the worker is a citizen or not.
