thanks for replying, i think people are not aware of immigrationvoice first and foremost we would have to spread the awareness among our junta.

There are couple of things i can suggest.

1.Place a message in localfiles
2.Take the printouts of IV posters and display in all indian groceries
3.contact as much sangha's like kannada, tamil, telgu,marathi,malayalam etc ... groups and ask them to email about IV to their members.

Let me know if there are other ideas you might have and we'll work upon a plan to go about this.

Thanks Preetham for your active interest and the ideas. I agree you need more people from your state to join and participate in chapter activities. pls. go ahead and start executing the 3 ideas you have listed. It will be a great start for the chapter and hopefully you will get several more members.

In the frenzy of the last 2 days, i noted many members from MN- it's clear where one is from based on the local legislators they mention.
We need to direct people here. Most people miss this separate forum entirely i suspect...

I really did'nt realize about MN state chapter.
I am Vijaya, work for Sioux Valley Clinic in Windom, SW part of MN.( 2hrs away from Minneapolis)
I'll try to encourage more physicians, that I know who are in same boat,to join IV.

I am sure there are many others in Minneapolis, as I heard that people of Indian ehnicity are the fastest growing immigrant group in twin cities.

We'll try to build up this base.

Between this thread and the one I started on the iv agenda forum, we have now accumulated a handful of members, looks like we are all set to be an active chapter!
couple of things:

1. IV IL chapter has invited us to their conference call, please check the thread called "Members in MN" under the IV agenda forum, if anyone can participate and report back here it would be great.

2. Conference Call: Anyone have dates or times in mind? btw pappu, question for you: does iv have a way of facilitating these calls?

Looking forward to hearing from you all, together we will surely achieve our objectives...

We want state members to take the responsibility to organize local activities and calls. IV will help whenever needed. http://teleconference.liveoffice.com/ can be used to set up calls.. IV requests MN members to communicate with each other and set up a confrence call to discuss the action items.
