Look, I would have otherwise signed the petition, but this petition is not for increasing the profile of the real issue. This petition and every other work done by usinpac is designed to increase the profile of usinpac, and usinpac only. I and a lot of others in DC area know that this is a shady organization, created to further the business interest of few individuals. This organization has nothing to do with India, or India Americans. Its primary (but unstated) purpose is to further the business interest of few individuals. By signing this petition, or by participating with usinpac, you are just signing on to a business interest of few individuals, and that's it.

If you guys remember, usinpac is the same organization which went to the press to take credit for "organizing flower campaign". I later found out from this forum that this shady group had nothing to do with the "flower campaign" that helped towards July'07 visa bulletin reversal. This group usinpac is always claiming credit for the work that did not do. Folks like us had spent money to send flowers to USCIS director. But guys at usinpac went to press claiming that they were organizing the flower campaign. They r just there to get the credit for doing nothing. This behavior reminds me of the worst kind of Indian politicians.

Bottom line, read between the lines and learn from the history. I don't trust this usinpac group and if you ask me, I will tell you not to get involved with this shady group. I have openly shared my views on this forum about the mumbai attacks. But I don't want to waste my energy (emanating from my anger) to allow some shady group to use me as a pawn to increase his profile to do better business deal. Anger is a form of energy. Groups such as usinpac run on this kind of energy. But they use this energy to their own benefit, not for the purpose to fix the issue. So please use caution when participating with anything conducted by this shady group. Please use your own judgment to do what is best for you and what you care for.

I did that and whoever have initiated it has done a good job. But I don't know if they hand over Dawood to India, would our people will be able to do something to him??:confused:

Nothing against anybody but I haven't seen our Government doing something that can stop this completely till now!!!!

The petition is totally different instrument. There is not a single word in the petition about USINPAC. Only thing is that USINPAC provide the platform to this petition. Even though one is not convince about USINPAC and its activities, we should not be divided on such a important issue.
Whole world (except few terror sponsor countries) is convince that terrorism is bad but they are sitting on single platform to deal with devil. China don't like India, India don't agree with some of US policies and not supported first Iraq war, etc etc and terrorist getting benefits.
Forget about all other differences and united to fight with terrorism otherwise this devil will kill whole word one by one.

I agree, we should all get together, but I don't agree that the only platform to get together is if we sign up with usinpac. This is the oldest trick in the book of thugs who say, the only way to reach salvation/God is if you follow my religion. Yours is the similar argument. If people wants to do something, going through a tainted group dilutes the message. So if people wants to do something, do it in a manner where one doesn't have to go through usinpac. This petition is a sham for the shady org to show to lawmakers that how much following they have. It helps them to establish their strength (which is not actually their strength) to get the limelight, which helps them to create business opportunity to make money for them.

Forgetting about all other differences and getting united to fight with terrorism doesn't mean that we have to team-up with thugs and con-artists. This petition could be counter productive because it is possible that a lot of lawmakers may not want to work with tainted groups.
