Hello All,

I know, I will take a lot of heat for posting this, But I really need to ask this. I received my GC approval in september 2008

I am thinking of changing my job this month due to current layoffs in my company.It's been 5.5 months from receiving GC, and I wanted to know if it will be safe for me to change jobs right now ? Any implications on the citizenship process because of changing jobs ?

No Haven't been laid off yet... but I don't want that. I want to change jobs before that.

My employer does not have a project for me. Is it okay to change job? Got GC a week ago.

Citizenship..

Only 4 things will prevent your citizenship:

1. Being out of the country for more than 6 months per calendar year.

2. Jail

3. Death

4. The USA suffers a major disaster and disappears from the face of the Earth

Do you also need advice on how to tie shoe laces? Might come in handy sometime.
