Hi I am on vacation in India and came here after three years. I am a permanent employee in US company (Small 200 employees) and was able to grant 4 months PAID vacation as I was working with them since 3 years and I took first time off to visit my home after 3 years. I am in touch with company and also helping my colleagues if they need any help in my absent.
I was reading few articles (2010 based) that if you stay long, you can be kick back to India. Is it true. If yes, I may need to go early even I have approved vacations and I am getting salary continuously.
Please help - Answers will be appreciated. Just fyi ... I have H1b valid till 2012 and i have all my current slips.
Again, Please share you experiances, and greatly appreciate help and suggestions

That should not be a problem. I had been in a similar situation with 3 months in India during an active H1 and there were no problems coming back into U.S.

stamping itself is taking 2-3 months with the 221Gs thrown at candidates face at will. Jokes apart, longer stay should not be a problem at all. i have colleagues who have worked from india for 2-2.5 months while on vacation.
Enjoy you vacation, you never know when the next one will happen. good luck.

No problem... I was out of US for 3 months last year.. came back without any issues...
(Also think about the companies such as Infosys/TCS/Capgemini etc.. most of their folks with H1 come to US on 5 or 6 month assignments. They go back.. work from offshore... and then come back after 1 year or so.... ATLEAST this is how it used to work.. 5 or 6 years ago...)...
