I-140 was filed on 6/5/2008...now the processing times are in Aug 2008 for EB3. I inquired and got the below email response. Can't uscis disclose the status to the person whose status is being affected, which is me? Should I have to go through the company attorney who filed this to know why there is a delay? Is there anything I can do about this without going through the attorney? :(

The Service records do not show that a properly completed G-28 is on file for representation of the referenced petition. We can only honor a G-28 that has an original signature from the petitioner and attorney, not the beneficiary and attorney. Photocopies are unacceptable. An original G-28 is needed for each pending petition on file.

True, the same happened for me too. Mine was filed on June 2007. USCIS stated that it would take 12-18 months. Waited till Dec 2008 and called them in Jan 2009. They replied stating that the employer needs to call.

Can't uscis disclose the status to the person whose status is being affected, which is me?

If you have the receipt number, you can check the status online. This includes I140:

Should I have to go through the company attorney who filed this to know why there is a delay?
At this point, yes, unless you are told otherwise.

Is there anything I can do about this without going through the attorney?
Unless your company attorney gives you other options, nothing you can do. If you have the receipt number, like i said before, you can check the status online

Company attorney pretty much said that it happens all the time and are not gonna look into it unless there is a RFE !! So I guess I'd just have to wait even though the apps at a later date are being processed. Hope things didnt fall through the crack somewhere

There is no alt attribute for graphics, but there should be.
It should be possible to specify an alt on graphics.

Nov 98 (day 1):

DECISION: We plan to offer a "proper" solution in V4.0, and deprecate the old Graphic element in an FU
note, for removal in V5.0.

Note that the existing FU for Graphic and InlineGraphic are, according to our new plan, incorrect. We'll back
off of the previously stated V4.0 action for these.

ACTION: Eve to propose immediately a model for additional video, audio, and graphic object elements
that use empty video data, audio data, and graphic data elements respectively. It will include a subproposal
for an appropriate metadata header. She will also resubmit the informal figure proposal.

On day 2 we reviewed Eve's proposal, saw that it allowed recursion,
and reworked it into the subsequent MediaObject proposal.
