485 RFE for original employment letter and Bona fide marriage

we have received RFEs on our 485 applications on May 1 09. I am the primary appliant. I have been asked to submit the original employement letter. My wife has been requested to prove that our marriage is bonofide. We have responed to the rfe on the same date with the help of our attorney. My status has been updated as 'Response received and case is reopened for processig" on the same day the rfe received by USCIS. But, my wife status is not yet updated. How long it usually takes for the status change? Any idea?
I have the ups receipts and tracking info as proof with me.

with delivery confirmation you will be fine... except that the only way you can know for sure is by either calling and reporting that "there is a problem with your application" or wait till uscis sends no i d saying that it did not receive a response... (relax, you will be fine).

i am curious about one thing: what is "original" employment letter? can you copy the text of your rfe here verbatim?

I got the exact same RFEs for me and my wife - my lawyers are working with the company HR to get an original employment letter with job duties and stuff...

I gave all docs for my wife's legal status and her bonafide marriage to me.

This happened only yesterday - so let me wait and see what turn it takes.

I have asked my employer to issue the employment letter indiacting my current on going employment. Also, sent the original letter of employment at the time of filing. I am with the same employer.

For bonafide marriage proof, we sent, the following. 1. Mriage certificate. 2. Child birth certificate. 3. Bank accounts. 4. Reantal aggrements. 5. My passport (my spouce name on it). 6.Tax returns. 7. insurance card.
