current H1B processing time?

My H1 was filed in Sept,2011 and Im still waiting on a result. Its been over 3 months and was wondering if anyone has a similar case or know why the processing is slow currently.

Looks like it is taking about 4-5 months these days. My extension was filed in June 1st week and I got approval docs in Oct 1st week after attorney made query to USCIS for status in Sept.
