Hello,

I got my receipt notice for I131/EAD/ GC on November 30 th 2011.

I have asked USICS to create SR to expedite and also contacted Congress men to expedite the case.
I did it on the same day 05 December the day father passed away. Nothing happened so far.

I took Infopass appointment and i asked the lady, if she will be able to provide me with Emergency AP. She was so rude and tell me, as you already approached congressman, i can not override his office and says Emergency AP option has been removed.

I have approved H1 till 2014 but no stamping. heard some cases, even travelling with AP - at immigration check point, they are asking to go get stamped with H1. Stamping in India is a big hassle as you all know.

Even if i take chance for h1b - My family can not travel with me as my sons passport struck for PIO in California center. I can not leave them for very long if i run into any stamping issues

I am middle of nowhere. atleast i want to attend the 11 day ceremony. Please suggest and help.

Hi

I am sorry to hear about your father.
Please talk to a lawyer about your situation. He will be able to guide you properly.

This answer is not related to AP.

If you are not in a EVC model, then I think you should take chances going to stamping on your H1. Lets you travel quickly without waiting for anything.

I am sorry for your loss. I just came back from India and did H1 stamping in New Delhi. Absolutely no issues. I work full time/perm position. As others said if you are in EVC model it is a bit risky otherwise I think you should be OK for stamping ..

What is the response from the Congressmen's office ? Did they called USCIS ? Since it's been 2 days, Please approach them again or go see them in person. Mid of this year when I need AP for some family emergency they helped me out.

Sorry to hear that. You need to be more stronger and tell yourself that you will be ok.

Please go see your people. You will get your GC sooner. You might face little hiccups but will be big. You meeting with your people now will give much more relief to you and your relatives.
