Hello,

I am citizen of India and currently working in US. My H1 visa stamp is expired. I have approved H1 renewal petition. I am flying to India by Royal Jordanian which has halt at Amman (Jordan).
1. Do I need transit visa ?
2. If I need transit visa, can I get it once I reach Amman (Jordan) ? Or do I need to have it before boarding the flight ?
3. Has anyone already gone through Amman (Jordan) with expired US visa ? Can you please share your experience ?

I am having flight on 12/24 (11 days from now) hence need to confirm on this as soon as possible.

Thanks,
Harshad

With an Indian passport you do not need a transit visa to Jordan. Moreover single entry visa for Jordan is given on arrival.

Entry into Jordan (http://www.visitjordan.com/visitjordan_cms/GeneralInformation/EntryintoJordan/tabid/61/Default.aspx)
