Hi all,

my PD is mid 2009 EB2....we are trying for a while to get pregnant....i just heard we cannot get the medical test done when spouse is pregnant. Can we get all the vaccination done now itself?? what about the actual medical exam can we get it done too? will there be any issues?

Please share your experience..
thanks for the response!

Only problem of early medical exam i could think of is "USCIS changing the version of Form 693"
If you have early vaccination then save records of it.

most vaccines are valid for 10 or more years so you can take them anytime. keep all the records. its better to get the medical test done once your PD is current. once you have taken all the vaccines, the medical test will only be a PPD test which should be ok for pregnant women.

PD and medical tests date are not relayed. Ig you are sure you will be current
in one year (validity of 693-doule check the span) you can get them done anytime.

Note: please finish action items for HR 3012 so you can plan your next baby without worrying about these things. Kindly support IV and spread the word.

Even if you have vaccines you should not plan for children upto 3 months depending upon vaccine. For MMR vaccine you should not plan for kids for 4-6 Weeks. For each varicella vaccine it is upto 4 weeks.. you may or may not require varicella. This was informed by my physician where i went for medicals.
