Hi all,

I currently working in California and planning to move to Texas. Our company does not have a office in Texas .. so I will be working from home for the same company.

My I-140 is approved and 485 is pending for more than 180 days.

while AC-21 allows for changing employers with a different geographical location, is it OK to work for the same employer who does not have an office in a different geographical location?

Also, can we do H1B extension in this case? Any idea what my employer should show in this case if I work from home.

Thanks so much for your replies

Yes, you can. I have done the same. Send me a PM if you need details about that. In my case I moved from Dallas to Austin

get LCA for Home Location and your office (Or client Location) in single LCA

I am working for Big 5 and they did the same. Working from Home(Michigan) and occasionally go to office (california)

This is what My company attorney filed for me and Got the approval.

I also have a similar case like the original poster (TexDBoy). I want to move from Boston area to somewhat warmer area.

I have not asked my employer if they would allow me to do this, but my family wants to really move out of Boston (too cold and tough winters). While, i do have a nice job where i see stability (I have been in the company since 8 years now), I would also like to see if I can get to some good companies in the southern places like Dallas, Austin, Raleigh, Atlanta...

What do you guys think?

The last poster mentions getting a LCA.. Does that mean we have to file another Labor? I already have labor and 140 cleared and my 485 is pending with June 2003 date (EB3)

LCA for H1 not for GC processing. My GC LCA is difefrent than H1B LCA .
I am not sure if any New LCA is required for 485 ...At least my company has not initiated any new LCA..

But they do file for H1B(LCA) if there is any change in work location.
