Hi Guys,

We are preparing to re-file this year for the EAD/AP. We did this last year too, so we know the process. Just a question about the fees. People reported last year that they started to receive 2 year EADs. Unfortunately we were one of the no-so-lucky ones. We received a one year EAD only. So my question is, what does one have to do this year to get a 2 year EAD? I am seeing that the fee is exactly the same as last year (=$340.00). So whats the deal then? There is no other fee or 765 form as far as I can see.

Any help would be invaluable.

Thanks.

I also received only for 1 yr when applied for renewal last year. I have applied for renewal again last week with the same fee $340 for each applicant. Hoping to get a 2 yr EAD based on my PD.

Thanks

I dont think you have to do anything different. It just depends on USCIS whims and fancies... whether they give you a 2 yr EAD or scam you with a 1 yrs EAD even though you are eligible for 2yr.

Goodluck this time... Hope you get the 2 yr EAD!

For 2 year EAD, the visa dates must not be current and also I140 must be approved.
