POE with old H1B employer.

Hi,

I am planning to go on a vacation to india in march for 2 weeks and my visa with old employer expires on April 20 2012. I have new approved 1-797 till June 2012. Will i be having any issues at port of entry.

Is it legal to come back with old employer visa and new approved I-797 or going for a stamping is better option?

i did that in 2006. i had my old-employer visa stamped on my passport valid for another 1.5yrs and new-employer I979. Officer looked at both and let me in.
This is 2011 or rather 2012, things have change, economy is bad, visa stamping is a nightmare, your luck is also a factor.
so take your decisions bearing these points in mind. Travel if it really really important or wait to get your new I797 after June2012.
