H1B regular processing time frame

Hi,

My H1B petition was filed on 22nd Nov 2011 under Regular processing. Now the status is "Initial Review" . Can someone help me how long would it take to get the approval done?

Hi Priya,

You have not mentioned the service center where your H1 was filed,

The USCIS website mentions that average processing time is 2-3 months but my h1 was filed at California on September 12th 2011 (as regular) and the status showed as "Initial Review" till the end of December 2011,

my employer then paid a premium processing fee (as my OPT expiry date was coming close) and i got my H1 on Jan 10th.

Thanks for your response. My visa was filed at Vermont Service Center.
