Error in form I-797

I recently received the I-797 form for extension of my H1-B visa. But the I-94 number on the notice is BLANK. Now when I go to DMV to renew my drivers license in GA will they reject the application for lack of correct I-94 card? How long does it take to get the corrected I-797 from USCIS. My company has put in a expdited request for that? If the corrected I-797 does not arrive in time will I lose my license? IS there any other way?

you can use h1 extension receipt notice to get license for a year in virginia...

it certainly an issue but i don't think that would stop you from getting DL renewed. the top part of the notice does have start and end dates so that should suffice. i don't think the DMV looks at the i94, at least not in my state.

In GA they use the I-94 number on the i-797 notice to check SAVE database. So if the I-797 does not have the number I think they will raise a question.
