Address change notificiation

Hi,

I've applied for 485 and got fingerprinting appointment next week. I'm planning to move to a different address next month. what are the steps that I need to take in notifying uscis about my address change, so future notifications arrives at my new address.

Fill up and submit form AR-11 within 10 days of moving to new address [This form is mandatory for all non citizens]. You can file these online as well nowadays. In addition, set up a forwarding address at your post office (i think they do this for upto 30 days or so for free - dont remember - check online for details).

Between these two, your change of address shouldnt result in any lost mail.

Just filling AR-11 is absolutely not enough for changing the address on each of your pending applications/petitions.

After you submit the AR-11 online, there is an option to change the address on your pending applications/petitions - You must do this to receive further communications to the right address.
