Travel abroad on EAD/AP

Hi,
I got my EAD/AP very recenlty (last week) and I want to travel to India in the first week of March 2012. I am planning for a very short trip for 2 weeks. I donot have H1 visa stamp in my passport after my H1 renewal. I will be going to India after 5 years now. Is it safe to travel on EAD and come back using AP. Will there be any issue at POE? Will my H1 be still valid , can I work for the same employer on H1? Could you please reply to my query.

Yes, you can come back on AP

No. You will be on EAD

Yes, but not on H1. It will be EAD when you come back.

You can use AP, no issues..

No - Your status is AOS, its no longer H1B the moment you use AP at POE.

Then on two..options..
1) Use EAD to work with current employer.. going forward..
2) Used EAD for time being to work .. apply for H1 extension as soon as you enter US..
Once that H1 extension is approved with I-94..You will be back on H1B
