Hi,
Happy New Year!
My attorney filed the LC case in July2002 from NY as RIR after doing recruitment. It has been pending in PBEC (P-01525-XXXXX). The case type was showing up as "RIR" even in the H1B7yr email request in May 2006.
But, when I checked my case status at the DOL website today, it shows up as "TR" even though it was filed as "RIR". Does anyone know whom I should contact to fix this.
Any help is greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance.

I am a regular visitor to Rajiv khanna's site.
There were a few reports like this...I believe that some guys tried to talk to their lawyers and the lawyers sent a request for correction...
There was also a precedent that some RIR cases got remanded and for those remanded cases the DOL used to insist on doing a supervized recruitment..I donot know if they have mapped that process to this situation...That when they want to remand the RIR case they just convert it into TR...This is just my speculation and a distinct possibility...
My own case is RIR and is 'In Process'. my case also got bypassed from the approval flow...they are now in Oct 04 and mine is July 04.

Folks
This means that crappy idiots at BEC have rejected your RIR and hence your LC's got converted as TR application. It happened to me
Talk to your attorneys and file a conversion from TR to RIR

Can they just convert from RIR to TR without letting any of us know! Aren't they supposed to let us know their intent. No wonder mine was taking so long. Let me talk to my attorney and see what can be done. I don't think we can just keep watching.
If they made a decision to change it to TR, they need to let us know, or if they messed up, they need to correct it and make a decision ASAP, otherwise we need to take legal action in someway!

Your cases are alright.
As per my attorney, their website is totally screwed up.
My cased was filed as "TR" but it shows "RIR". We haven't tried any conversion.

my attorney faxed DBEC to get this corrected. The website and the case status both had TR. Now it has been corrected to RIR. I think from whatever you get to know about your case, you need to take every effort to make sure information you or your attorney provided and the information they display or transmit back matches correctly. With all the delay, any information not accurate only adds up to more delay is my opinion.
