can 485 be applied with old employer

My perm and 140 were approved with company A. priority date- Oct 2009. Later I joined company B. company B applied perm. Now I got audit on this perm.

Since my dates are current now can I apply for I-485 while working for company B? Should I go back to company A in order to apply for I-485?

Can anyone answer my questions plz.thanks.

GC is for future employment and once it is approved- you have to work for the sponsoring employer.

AC21 can be used only if your 485 has been pending for > 6m( need seniors to verify).If your PD is <Mar 08 - 485 likely to be approved in under 6 months - hence AC21 may not apply

Unless otherwise the company A did not revoke/withdrew I-140, you should be able to file I-485.
Remember that Green Card is a future employment...
