I485 Pending and lost job before 180 days

My lawyer has sent the I-485 application (I-140 previously approved) as my PD was current for Feb 2012. Waiting for USCIS receipt. For some unfortunate reason if i get laidoff after 4 months from my I-485 receipt date. I have not received my EAD (I-765) yet.

What happens if my employer wants to revoke I-140? My I-140 was approved in April 2010. Can my employer withdraw it?
What happens if I get EAD before I am laid off

I guess yours is a full time position ?

If your 485 is pending for 180 days and till then I-140 is approved then you have no problems..

Even in worst case say you are laid off after 4mns of 485 pending...
Withdrawing I-140 takes a long time..
You will be over 180 days pending before actual withdrawl happens with USCIS..

Worst possible case
Say somehow if I-140 is withdrawn before 180 days succesfully..you will get a NOID on 485 ..Then go to Murthy law firm..they will deal with that NOID..They have successfully defended such cases in past..

But RELAX !!! .....These days straight forward EB2 cases are approved within 2mnths...
