degree evaluator - for h1b

Hi,

My wife's employer wants to apply for her H1b in April 2012 quota. Currently she is working as a QA Engineer.

But she did


Bcom (3 yrs) in India,
BA honors in Fashion designing (4 yrs) in India and
MBA (2 yrs) USA.

Also she is having like 4-5yrs of experience as a QA Engineer in India. we already gave certificate to her Lawyer but she wants to run a "degree equivalence".

Any idea if that would succeed ? I know major issue might be her 100% Commerce background.

Please advice.

Forgot to mention, she is also having --> "2 yrs QA Certification Course from NIIT". We already gave certificate and transcript of NIIT also.

She shouldn't have any issues as she has done MBA from USA. I just wanted to know, has she done MBA on campus or online?

She did her MBA on campus. but looks like that university is not accredited.

B.Com is Ok for H1. The evaluator will combine the degree and the Indian exp and should work.

I hope it works. the only reason I am little concerned because:

1. "Degree equivalence evaluation" is still pending. we will get the results in next 3-5 days.

2. her background is all in Commerce and now we are apply for an engineering job.

Hi ashman, Dont worry about her background as there are many folks whose degree is in non-computer related field and still they got H1 and green card.

How about the 4 years in fashion designing? I think that should be good enough to use as the MBA platform
