I can believe my post is deleted. I thought I was appropriate. IV is getting extremely intolerant of any criticism. They do not want to hear any negative criticism. I am a valid member, donated $450 for HR 3012 so far. I am getting really paranoid about IV. Sorry, I can not be part of a group which is so intolerant of its own members. I understand that IV is the only organisation fighting for legal immigration. I am not spending even a penny more until they are open and forthcoming

I would also been really mad in your situation, but IV is now in a very sensitive time(HR 3012). So they don't want anything to affect that.

Wait until you know the result of HR 3012 and you might be happy on IV.

Thanks,
Velu

Please do not give up. The silence and strict moderation means something is cooking.
Please have little bit more of patience. I know it is tough but please..

Yes something is cooking like the proverbial frog in a pot of slowing heating water.

...jokes apart...i do understand the frustration.
But I hope IV is doing the best possible under a complicated political landscape with DNC controlling senate (with no interest in skilled immigration)

bib: It seems you are want a guaranteed outcome of the bill. No one, even the President of United States, can grantee an outcome of any bill. If things are taking time, it just means that its taking time. Each one of us is free to draw our conclusions. It doesn't imply that there is lack of initiative or effort IV core, does it? It just means that it's taking time. And just for a second, hypothetically speaking, if the bill doesn't pass, it doesn't mean that IV is responsible for not getting the bill passed. I would rather give IV core the credit for leading the way for all of us. Even with your contribution of $450, you don't get a vote in the Senate, and neither do IV core. And the bill needs to pass the Senate. Please remember this.

And, why are we so touchy about deletion of the posts? I am just asking, can anyone please help me understand this. Who cares about deletion of post using anonymous user id on a forum where no one will every know who I'm? Feel free to delete my posts if anyone perceives that it will even remotely or marginally help with the agenda or if anyone thinks that this is not helpful. Maybe we need not be as much sensitive to deletion of posts using anonymous handle. I don't think it's about being intolerant, maybe more so to do with being careful about the agenda and messaging. Just my 2 cents.

One note, Your post is not visible to you but to entire public who would like to visit IV. I dont know what your post is but immaterial if moderates think in greater good its not required its not here. IV forum is more democratic than any other forums you should be glad they didnt ban an IP as many of other forums does.

Coming back to donations and stuff, Lets be more clear IV is a platform, you need to really trust yourself and the platform to be more successful in things IV is for. There should be no place for ego think cool.

My friend this forum is pretty open to all. That's why you are able to start this thread. Several of my post gets deleted and I feel happy about that. Because my goal/wish is not posting message in forums. I want a fix. Several other forums run by businesses will not even let us post any message without getting reviewed. In those sites it takes hours if not days before you can see your posting, even if your posting says one word "thanks".

See this way, when your post was deleted, did your bank balance go down? Or did your pay got reduced? Did you grow one year older? No, you lost nothing. But one thing you would not have noticed is advocacy efforts moved a tiny distance forward. Close you eyes and feel that forward movement and enjoy yourself.

Well said. You really have grey hair, which is the symbol of experience.

Folks, do your action item and stay cool.

All right guys I have been member only since December, 2011. I did my AI's, recieved positive replies from my state senators and representatives and made some financial contribution. I am not looking for any guarantees on my investment, at the same time I cann't accept the argument that posting some updates will give ammunition to anti HR 3012. If HR 3012 has to pass it should pass by its merit. The only update I have seen in the last few months is "Done AI" or adding < or* to threads to bump them up. This is not the way to attract and retain new members like me. All the members are professionals, we can not follow some one or something blindly for ever. There should be some transparency and accountability.
By the way I thank you guys for not calling a Troll, ROW agent or Grassley's agent.

My profile turned red and I became infamous just for raising some questions. There is something really wrong:confused: How could you do it to one of your own members?

Bibliophile - Don't worry about the red or green, we all are in this thing together. With IV, we at least have a forum. Don't lose heart, what IV is doing is giving us a place to gather together to fight this battle together. No one has any personal agenda here, this is for the common good.

Let me start by commending your contribution to this cause. We all need to continue doing OUR part to secure OUR future in this country using this platform. Despite no updates from IV core, based on the collective journey we have been on since the last 5-7 years, I have complete faith in their commitment to HR 5012. I can only urge you to have some of the same.

That being said ... gosh you sound so immature...so you feel entitled to bring forth you disagreements about the way things are on this site but you feel aggrieved when others disagree with you and show it (Reds to your profile). You been a member of IV for all of 3 months and are devastated that your "INVESTMENT" in these short time is not commended/recognized/respected??? Not that you will see any sense with this or any of the posts...but you are being really childish and with this last post you added ludicrousness to your posts on this thread.

All I can say is.. grow up and get the hint from what others are conveying in response to your posts.

I really wonder how it must be to be your manager at work!!

You are the one being childish. I have not made any personal attack against any member of the IV. I still feel that this is mine and I am still part of it. A quick look at your previous posts will let any one know who you are. You make vicious and vitriolic attacks against any one who does not agree with you. Remember you are in America. We can still disagree and work together. I wonder how your colleagues, family and your subordinates are putting up with you. Stop being a goonda...

This is exactly what the haters want - we all start fighting amongst each other. We can have disagreements but this is getting us away from our core work - supporting IV core and doing our action items. We have no other way. This is not a fight that one person can fight on his own, it is only our collective whole

I recieved much better private answer to my post than from so called senior members. Let's end this thread. I would recommit myself to the cause. Please restrain yourself from launching personal attacks. Although we hide behind our handles, we might be colleagues at work see each other in the community. IV could be considered the forum for the most educated people in this country. Most of us are either doctors, engineers or other professionals. This thread had 1800+ views. Keep this in mind and let's try keep the discussion civilised.
