Hello
I am indian and I had applied for h1 when I was studying in UK. I had been for interview in London on 11 august 2011 and my case was pending for administrative procedure.
On the same day of interview I received email to send some documents by email which i did already. and did not here anything form embassy till now.
every time i send them email for status they just say its still under admin process. its been more than 6 months now.
My UK visa was expiring on 28 february 2012 so I came back to India and on 3rd March 2012 I received email from embassy requesting mine and my wife's passports with photographs.
what should be geinune procedure in this circumstances?
i returned to india on 28 feb and there will be arrival stamp on my passport as well. shall i send my passport from india to london

please advise me what should i do asap.

Please approach the US Consulate in India and they should be able to guide you further.

I do not think that you can send your passports by mail/courier outside india as it is prohibited by Indian law. I am not sure but you can check from other sources. Best bet would be approach US consulate in india as one reader has posted or need to go back to london and get it stamped from there.

Thanks for reply
I know we can not send passport by courier or post as its mentioned in passport! Also it says in passport that you can send passport with some one with authorisation letter! So if I send passport with some one there and then arrange delivery to embassy by dx courier as mentioned in email sent by embassy! And once stamp is done again some one from uk will bring that! Doesn't it look genuine?

Approach British High Commission before you decide!
