Need help on the below query:

Background:
My I-140 was filed in EB1 (International Manager/Multinational Exec) category in October 2011. I-140 was approved in February 2012. DID NOT file concurrently due to pending documents from India. Filed by my Employer on my behalf.

In March 2012, employer filed all my adjustment of status related forms for self and spouse [I-131, I-485 and I-765] and I-131 + I-485 for my 18-month baby.

Yesterday I got the receipt notices from USCIS for self, spouse and child for all the forms - I-485, I-131, I-765(self n spouse).

My query is regarding "Priority Date" as mentioed on the I-485 receipt notice.

The priority dates for child and spouse is mentioned as MARCH 30 2012,
For self, the priority date is mentioned as OCTOBER 21 2001.

1) Shouldn't the priority dates be the same for all the three of us?
2) What does a priority date of October 21 2001 actually mean in terms of my processing time?

I'm a little confused. Appreciate any info you could share.

Thanks.

On the receipt, the priority date for depends is usually the RD. The actual priority date will be same as yours and usually everyone's GC will be approved at the same time. There is no cause for concern and this is normal practice.

A priority date of October 21 2001, doesn't it sound weird given the fact that I filed my AOS in March 2012?

Is your priority date Oct 21, 2001 or Oct 21, 2011?

Is your priority date Oct 21, 2001 or Oct 21, 2011?

vsuri - my priority date as mentioned is the i-485 receipt notice is OCT 21 2001 (NOT 2011). That's why I find it weird. Assuming it a clerical error / typo, what are the consequences? Whom should I talk to now? The customer care number of USCIS is in vain as my case status is not yet available.

Thanks again.

I would suggest you wait for couple of months. You are in EB1 category. You will get GC immediately (no matter the priority date is 2001 or 2011). If you see any delay in your GC processing, then try contacting USCIS.
