Interfiling and spouse AOS

Hello friends,
Here's my case :
Old EB3 case with PD 0f Mar-04, I-485 filed and pending since Jul-07.
New EB2 140 cleared yesterday with old PD of Mar-04 ported successfully.
I got married after Jul-07 retrogression so my spouse is still on H4 and not added to my case.

My next step per my understanding, in porting from EB3->EB2 is
> Sending out an email to Texas Service center for interfiling of 485, and wait for my GC approval.
> Another step is filing my spouses 485.

My questions are,
> Is there any order in which to file these.
> If I do these together are there chances of spouses 485 request to be rejected if my 485's EB category not updated before spouse 485 reaches USCIS.
> Also can I apply for my wife's EAD right away so she can work while waiting for GC?
> Lastly is there any other step I have to take aside these.

Good question....though i am not to this point yet of interfiling my case is similar, so appreciate any input!!! Also, OP...if you don't mind sharing when you filed for PERM, I-140 etc. Thanks!

I applied PERM in Sep'11, approved in Dec'11. Applied 140 in Feb 12 and approved in Apr 12. Cheaped out on Premium Processing and bought the new iPad instead :)
