H1-b unpaid wages, Attorney needed.Employer in washington DC

Hi, I have issues with my previous employer in regards to upaid back wages. I was employed with him on H1-B visa. I am looking for an employment attorney who I can work with. The employer is in Washington DC. Looking for references and pointers from friends on the forum. Any help will be much appreciated. Thanks a lot.

Just complain in department of labor. You will get back wages and employer will face problems for exploiting you.

The problem is the company is in Washington DC and on enquiry I found that the only way I can do this is to approach a court and file a case. Please let me know if someone knows of other ways of doing this. Thanks.
